Product Description
The Model 420001 Wireless Keypad is a weather-resistant keyless entry station transmitter. Entering a programmable 4-digit access code sends the programmable radio code to the receiver to activate the door or gate operator. The transmitter is powered by a 9-volt battery, has a test/operate indicator, and keys that light during use. When the battery gets low, the keypad will blink during use to indicate that the battery needs changing. The transmitter is Multi-Code format providing 1,024 possible radio codes. The transmitter will only activate receivers set with the same code programmed into the keypad. The Model 420001 is compatible with 300 MHz Multi-Code receivers and Model 109950 and 302850 receivers.

This remote pad came with our driveway gate opener about 12 years ago. Except for an occassional battery replacement every year or two and being exposed to the elements, it has worked without fail. After 12 years of reliable operation, a replacement was needed. I highly recommend this remote.

I received this product quickly from ASP doors. Unfortunately, that is the only positive feedback I can offer.
I purchased a receiver and keypad that were defective. The assistance from Linear Corporation was less than adequate, and they were not able to address the problem. I could make the door actuate only when the transmitter was within 1″ of the receiver antenna. Ultimately, Linear told me that I had to go to ASP Door to return the product.
It has been a month and multiple e-mails to ASP Doors – with absolutely no response. I will not consider purchasing any product from ASP Doors again. Be advised that if you do, and the product is defective, that there is no phone number for ASP Doors and that they do not answer e-mails.

Purchased this product in 2007 to control existing Garage Door Opener.
Allows access to house (through attached garage) for children and others if they forget (or instead carrying) their keys.
Has worked trouble free for over 2 years now.
Only thing i wish was that it allowed more than one code.. or a “temporary” code so we could give out the code to dog sitters, etc when on vacation..
You can give the code out for access to such people.. but since there is only one code, you have to change the code when you get back.. (And family must re-learn when you do..)
If it had a “temporary” code, you could just give that one out.. and re-program the temporary code without the family having to learn a new one.
That being said.. re-programing the code takes less than 2 minutes.. even if you only do it once a year.
Good product. Good Value. 4 star (5 if it had had multiple codes)
