My Genie opener was installed in 1990, and I had dropped the remote for what turned out to be the last time. I had searched and found out that model remote was no longer made. I took a chance and ordered the Clicker. When the Clicker arrived, I found the reference to my unit. I knew about the DIP switches inside my existing remote, and the Clicker instructions told me to program the DIP switches inside the Clicker just the same. (This is only true for specific models of openers, remotes and year installed – others use the programming button on the receiver). I followed the clear directions: they seemed a bit odd, but I followed them exactly (17 clicks) and voila! ~ the garage door opened! I programmed the other door as well, and now I have one compact remote to open both doors. I cannot believe it took me so long to find the solution, and it took less than five minutes to program the two doors. Wow! Am I happy! The instructions are clear and detailed, and you just need to follow them exactly. I actually missed the first time and simply started over, following more carefully.

Easy to program, but I have to be less than 15′ from the door for it to work. The old style Chamberlain Clicker worked much better.

    Great value!
Just moved into a new place and the owners didn’t leave a working garage door opener…the opener is 13 years old (Wayne Dalton 2115) so I wasn’t sure if this would work or not…

    UNABLE TO PROGRAM
I bought the Chamberlain KLIK1U Clicker two months ago, and STILL cannot program it. The directions simply are not adequate, plus MANY varying button clicks are involved, telling…

    It is easy to setup.

Since there are many 3 (2,1) car garages – it is great to be able to program both of them to the same remote.

The range is not very good – I have to be directly in front of the door in order to work. Other remotes will start about halfway down the yard as I approach the driveway.

    Definitely NOT universal remote
A complete waste of money – does not work with my Genie garage door opener. So much for a “universal” remote.

    worthless junk
This remote that is advertised as “works with all brand” and (universal) is far from the truth, didnt work with my BFT MITTO – sent for support for several times with no reply…

    Technically it worked… poorly.
I have a Chamberlain brand opener. This remote would not work until I pulled my front bumper to within a foot of the door.

It will open and/or close your garage door
My Sears clicker stopped working a little under two years after I got it. I brought it over to the store and they were pretty unhelpful about it not being under warranty.

easy to program… be sure to read the instructions
works great as long as you read and follow the instructions on your garage door opener and this unit. i have a craftsman opener from 1995 and this remote works fine.

    good, not great
The Clicker is not a complete replacement for your original opener-remote. It’s range is much smaller than your original remote, and if you have power failures or brown outs, you…

    Easy and work flawlessly
This is the best remote replacement out there. You just need to follow the instructions very carefully. It replaced my Genie Bluemax remote.

Good range, nice replacement for my Craftsman
Bought this after losing my original Craftsman remote. I’ve found this opens the garage from the bottom of the driveway and beyond.
